Father Louis Hennepin is generally considered to be the first person of European descent to “discover” the metrodome. In fact, it was he who named the structure in honor of Saint Metro. Of course, the natives had known of the metrodome for centuries, and referred to it as “the father of winds” because of the air that continually blew out of its doors.

The generation after Gen X is now known as ‘Millennials’, but for a time, the vogue was to call post-1980 babies “Metrodomers” or “Generation Metrodome.” The term ‘Milennial’ gained favor only because ‘Generation Metrodome’ was co-opted by a Shadowy Organization with unclear motives ruled by charismatic leaded Pastor G.G. Zorn.
